Bamboo Serenity — Hand-Painted Xieyi Ink (34 × 138 cm)
Created for calm spaces. This original bamboo painting brings a quiet, grounded presence to yoga studios, spa reception areas, meditation corners, and therapy rooms—where breath, balance, and focus matter most.
Why wellness spaces love it
Soothing focal point: Gentle ink gradients and flowing brushwork help settle the room and the mind.
Meaning with intention: In Chinese culture, bamboo symbolizes resilience, renewal, and integrity—perfect themes for healing and growth.
Hand-painted original: Not a print. Every stroke is unique, carrying the rhythm of the artist’s hand.
Technique & materials
Painted in xieyi (写意, freehand brushwork)—a spontaneous style where ink spreads quickly on xuan paper, capturing energy and movement. (The other classical method is gongbi 工笔, fine-line.)
Mounted using traditional methods to stabilize and preserve the work for years of display. Mounting is free.
Size & fit
Dimensions: 34 × 138 cm (≈ 13.4 × 54.3 in)
Ideal for narrow walls, hallways, behind a reception desk, or as a serene vertical statement in a studio or therapy room.
Pairs beautifully with natural textures—wood, linen, stone, rattan.
Mounting & timeline
This artwork requires an additional 10 days for traditional mounting before shipping (ensures longevity and a smooth, gallery-ready finish).
After mounting, the piece is not foldable. It will be rolled (not folded) and shipped securely.
Shipping
Shipped via SF International Express in a professional painting tube.
Estimated transit: ~5–14 days (destination-dependent).
You’ll receive tracking; packaging is designed for fine art transit.
Care
Hang out of direct sunlight and away from humidity or heat sources.

Artist & lineage
Shuhao Chen (Shantou, Guangdong) — member of the Shantou City Art Association.
Trained under Shaorong Li, who studied with Changchao Liu (1907–1997), a renowned 20th-century Southern Chinese master of bamboo painting.
Each work reflects this lineage: disciplined brush control with the expressive freedom of xieyi.
What to expect
As a handcrafted original, slight variations in tone, paper fiber, seals, and brush textures are natural and desirable.
Your mounted artwork will arrive rolled in a tube—ready for your preferred framing.
